Caitlin + Kris | Downtown Columbus Engagement

Downtown Columbus Engagement

What a beautiful spring morning I had with Caitlin and Kris for their engagement session.  We originally were suppose to be shooting at sunset that day but due to the crummy forecast we switched to a morning time. We also switched location because it just happen to be the morning of the Columbus marathon as well!  Our original location of the State House was not going to work!  All of these road blocks ended up being very much in our favor!

I had the opportunity to chat on the phone with Caitlin, and email back and forth many times that I knew her and I would hit it off so well together!! Our similar type A, very organized, planning personalities just meshed perfectly! She is definitely my kind of bride!

We started their engagement session at the Columbus Metropolitan Library in downtown Columbus Ohio. The building has recently gone through a major facelift and wow, it is even more breathe taking! I love the uniqueness this structure has both inside and out. We next walked to the Topiary Garden Park which is just adjacent to the downtown library. The sunrise was stunning bouncing off the gorgeous spring colors the park was filled with. Lastly we adventured to Platform Beer Co. Caitlin and Kris share a love of craft beers so it was important that we incorporated that into their engagement session. Nothing screams love like sipping on beer at 10 in the morning right? I loved being able to explore all these different locations around Columbus with Caitlin and Kris.

Caitlin and Kris will be getting married in June of 2020 at the gorgeous Estates at New Albany. I can not wait to photograph this fun couple at this premier venue as they say their wedding vows next year!
