Fall Family Session | Pickerington Family Photographer

Record setting heat sounds perfect for a Fall family session, right? You surely wouldn’t guess that we were dealing with some extreme temperatures when looking at the smiling, happy faces of the Durst family. Believe it or not, Kenny and Abby were my very first wedding that I photographed. Since then, I have had the incredible honor of snapping many other exciting milestones for them. From maternity and newborn sessions for both kiddos, to Abby & Kenny’s upcoming anniversary, and many things in between. We have joked that I am their “Forever” photographer. To be honest, I am happy that they have chosen me for such a distinguished title.

During their family session this year, these kids were absolutely awesome. Emory’s sweet smile as she gazed lovingly at her baby brother was heart melting. Thane trying to grab big sister’s feet was adorable. He was so focused! The giggles and belly laughs kept coming, which made my job a bit easier. I can just see these two growing up to be incredibly close and caring so much for each other. Capturing the adoration and love that they all four share, is such a joy for me. One can see that they love being together and love being a family.

Abby was determined to have gorgeous goldenrod captured in their session and I was glad to oblige. The golden sunset light cascading across the sky, kissing the goldenrod blooms made for a stunning backdrop for this family. I don’t know about you, but to me, there’s just something magical about sunset. From start to finish, our time together on this hotter than usually Fall day was extraordinary. I hope this beautiful family, that has entrusted me with some of life’s most memorable moments, love the finished product. I know I am happy that I get to share it with them.
